New Delhi/Hyderabad: C Neelakanta Reddy, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) from the 1997 batch, has assumed charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of NMDC Limited, India’s largest iron ore producer, with effect from October 27, 2025.

With a career spanning over two decades in the Indian Railways, Reddy has contributed significantly to the maintenance and modernization of systems critical for train operations on high-density routes. He brings extensive experience in planning, designing, and implementing infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing capacity and improving operational safety.

During his tenure with South Central Railway, he held several key positions, handling corporate coordination, human resource management, capital budgeting, supply chain management, delegation of powers, arbitration, transformation initiatives, and safety audits.

Before joining NMDC, Reddy served at the Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications (IRISET), where he played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and conducting skill development and training programs for railway personnel and industry executives on modern technology systems.

An alumnus of Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering, Tirupati, Reddy has also completed advanced management programs at ICLIF Kuala Lumpur, INSEAD Singapore, and the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
