Dr S Harikrishnan set to be next Director (Operations) of Cochin Shipyard Ltd

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Dr S Harikrishnan for the post of Director (Operations) of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) on Thursday

New Delhi: Dr S Harikrishnan is set to be next Director (Operations) of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a PSU under the Ministry of Port, Shipping and Waterways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Shipbuilding) in the same organisation.

Harikrishnan has been recommended for the post from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 22. Out of 11 candidates, 10 candidates were from CSL and one candidate was from Shipping Corporation of India (SCI).

As Director (Operations) of CSL, Harikrishnan will be a member of Board of Directors and will report to Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be in charge of the Shipbuilding division of the Company. In this role, He will be responsible for furthering the Shipbuilding business and oversee Design and Engineering, Material procurement, planning and Ship construction activities covering fabrication, outfitting, tests & commissioning, trials leading to delivery of ships meeting contractual time, cost and scope/quality requirements.
