HPCL appoints K Vinod as Chief Financial Officer

HPCL has appointed K Vinod as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from June 1

New Delhi: State-run oil marketing major Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has appointed K Vinod as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from June 1. Vinod has been appointed to the post upon the superannuation of Rajneesh Narang from the services of the corporation.

Prior to his appointment, K Vinod was serving as Executive Director (Corporate Finance) and was also holding additional charge of the Treasury function at HPCL.

The Maharatna oil PSU further added that Vinod has assumed the charge of the post with immediate effect.

A seasoned finance professional and a Chartered Accountant by qualification, K Vinod brings more than three decades of experience across a wide spectrum of financial and commercial functions within HPCL. During his long tenure with the company, he has held several senior positions and managed key areas including refinery finance, corporate strategy and planning, international trade, oil price risk management, integrated margin management, SBU commercial operations, corporate finance, treasury and pricing.

The company noted that K Vinod has played a pivotal role in enhancing HPCL’s financial architecture and contributing to its business growth through strategic financial leadership.

According to the comapany, this is not K Vinod’s first stint as CFO of the company. He had earlier served as HPCL’s Chief Financial Officer from September 11, 2024, to March 26, 2025.

In a social media post, HPCL said the appointment reflects its continued emphasis on financial excellence, prudent capital management and sustainable value creation. As CFO, K Vinod will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial strategy, treasury operations, capital allocation, financial planning and regulatory compliance.
