HPCL appoints Srividya Venkataraman as Chief Financial Officer

HPCL on Tuesday announced the appointed of Srividya Venkataraman as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company with immediate effect

New Delhi: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) on Tuesday announced the appointed of its Director (Finance) Srividya Venkataraman as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company with immediate effect (i.e. July 7, 2026). With this, Venkataraman has replaced K Vinod, Executive Director (Corporate Finance), who was holding the additional charge of Treasury and CFO.

The appointment was approved by HPCL's Board of Directors at its meeting held on Tuesday. Following the appointment, Venkataraman has also been designated as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company. This information has been shared by the Maharatna PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchnages on Tuesday.

A Chartered Accountant and Cost & Works Accountant, Venkataraman brings more than three decades of experience in the Indian energy sector. Her expertise spans treasury management, taxation, risk management, investor relations, capital markets and business finance.

Before joining HPCL as Director (Finance), she served as Executive Director – Corporate Treasury at BPCL, where she oversaw treasury, insurance, investor relations, pension fund investments, pricing and taxation. During her tenure, she played a key role in managing BPCL's capital structure, investment strategy and risk management framework, while helping mobilise project finance of more than Rs 30,000 crore for strategic growth initiatives.

Over the course of her career at BPCL, Venkataraman held several leadership positions across the treasury, retail and LPG businesses. As Finance Head of the Retail Business, she contributed to business growth, network expansion, digital transformation, cost optimisation and governance enhancement. She also played an important role in implementing flagship government initiatives such as the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in the LPG segment.

She has also been associated with several major financial initiatives, including BPCL's maiden international bond issuance, external commercial borrowings, pension fund management, strategic investment planning and implementation of digital finance solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and governance.

Venkataraman has previously served on the boards of Kannur International Airport Limited, BPCL KIAL Fuel Farm Facilities Pvt. Ltd., and FFPL Finserv Private Ltd., contributing to corporate governance and strategic oversight.
