K Narasimha Reddy assumes charge as Executive Director of NTPC Talcher Kaniha

Kariveda Narasimha Reddy has taken over as the Executive Director (ED) and Head of Project (HOP) at NTPC Talcher Kaniha with effect from April 30

New Delhi: Kariveda Narasimha Reddy has taken over as the Executive Director (ED) and Head of Project (HOP) at NTPC Talcher Kaniha, one of NTPC’s key power stations, with effect from April 30. A seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in the power sector, Reddy brings a strong track record of leadership, operational excellence, and technical expertise to his new role.

Reddy began his association with NTPC on September 5, 1989, as an Executive Trainee in the Mechanical Maintenance Department. Over the years, he has held critical roles across multiple NTPC projects including Kahalgaon, Simhadri, Barh, Rihand, and Faridabad. His responsibilities have spanned a wide range of functions such as Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Project Management, and Planning & Monitoring.

A native of Andhra Pradesh, Reddy holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kakatiya University, Warangal. His core technical expertise lies in power plant operations and maintenance, with specialisation in rotating machinery, mills and feeders, and boiler maintenance. His leadership has consistently promoted safety, efficiency, and reliability across NTPC installations.

In addition to his operational roles, Reddy has actively contributed to NTPC’s focus on learning and development, having participated in numerous training programs on Safety Leadership, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment, ESG, and the NTPC Business Excellence Model, among others.

Upon assuming charge, Reddy expressed his gratitude to the NTPC leadership for their trust and support. He reaffirmed NTPC’s continued commitment to societal development and to delivering clean, reliable, and affordable energy to the nation. “We shall strive to uphold the NTPC vision of powering India’s progress with sustainable energy practices,” he said.
