Kundan Kumar Mishra appointed as Director (Finance) on MMTC Board

MMTC Limited has announced the appointment of Kundan Kumar Mishra as Director (Finance) on its Board

New Delhi: MMTC Limited has appointed Kundan Kumar Mishra as Director (Finance) on its Board, following approval by the competent authority based on the recommendation of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).

Mishra, who was serving as Additional General Manager at NTPC Limited, has been appointed for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Mishra's appointment as Director (Finance) was made effective on August 3, 2026, with the company filing the disclosure after receiving approval from all its directors on August 6, 2026.

Mishra is a graduate in Chemistry and a Fellow Member of Cost & Works Accountants. He has 28 years of professional experience and has held several positions across business development, finance and corporate operations.

During his career, he has served as AGM (Business Development) and has also worked at CMHQ Ranchi. He subsequently served as DGM/CFO at KBUNL, a subsidiary of NTPC. His professional responsibilities have included strategic financial planning, stakeholder negotiations, monitoring and control of operations and maintenance budgets, and management of capital budgets.

According to an order issued from the Department of Commerce, Mishra's appointment was made in pursuance of the communication from the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and the Department of Personnel and Training, based on the PESB recommendation.
