Meenakshi Malik appointed as Director (Commercial) of Air India

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Meenakshi Malik as Director (Commercial) of Air India. The clearance from ACC came in the late hours on Monday. According to the order issued on June 8, Mallik has been appointed on Air India board for a period of three or till the date of her superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is the earlier. She is currently serving as Executive Director.

Meenakshi Malik is also looking after the charge of the Director (Commercial) in the corporation.

Air India Limited

Air India Limited is a government-owned enterprise and operates a fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft serving 102 domestic and international destinations. The airline has its hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, alongside several focus cities across India. Air India is the largest international carrier out of India with an 18.6% market share. Over 60 international destinations are served by Air India across four continents. The airline became the 27th member of Star Alliance on 11 July 2014.
