Palle Buchi Reddy set to be next Director (Personnel) of WCL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Palle Buchi Reddy for the post of Director (Personnel) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL)

New Delhi: Palle Buchi Reddy is set to be next Director (Personnel) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).

Reddy has been recommended for the post of Director (Personnel) of WCL from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on May 12. Out of eight candidates, two candidates were from Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and one each from South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Indian Ordnance Factories Service and Ion Exchange (India) Limited.

As Director (Personnel) of WCL, Reddy will be a member of the Board of Directors of WCL and will report to Chairman and Managing Director of WCL. He will be overall in-charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc.
