PESB names Anand for BCCL's Director (Technical) post

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Anand for the post of Director (Technical) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) on Tuesday

New Delhi: Anand is set to be next Director (Technical) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Mining/Production) of Coal India Limited.

Anand has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of BCCL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on June 23. The selection meeting witnessed participation from senior executives representing several major coal sector companies, including Central Coalfields Limited, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, South Eastern Coalfields Limited, NLC India Limited and Bharat Coking Coal Limited itself.

With his new role, Anand will replace Sanjay Kumar Singh, who has serving at BCCL top technical post since October 10, 2023.

As Director (Technical) of BCCL, Anand will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman and Managing Director. He will be responsible for operation of mines and also of field activities, technical functions ad safety of mines.
