PESB names Awadh Kishore Pandey for MCL's Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) post

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Awadh Kishore Pandey for the post of Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) of MCL

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Awadh Kishore Pandey for the post of Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a Schedule Miniratna company under the Ministry of Coal.

The selection meeting was held at on November 11, during which several senior executives from leading coal and mining PSUs were interviewed.

The panel of candidates included Suman Saurabh (Northern Coalfields Limited), Rajender Verma (Northern Coalfields Limited), Ranjay Sinha (Central Coalfields Limited), Anand (Coal India Limited), Awadh Kishore Pandey (Mahanadi Coalfields Limited), Shreekanta S H Roy (Coal India Limited), Satyajeet Ojha (Mahanadi Coalfields Limited), Binod Kumar Gupta (Hindustan Copper Limited), and Abhay B Bhagat (NLC India Limited).

Following the evaluation of the candidates’ experience and performance, the board recommended Awadh Kishore Pandey, currently serving as Area General Manager, Lakhanpur Area, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, for the position.

The recommendation will now be sent to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval.

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, headquartered in Sambalpur, Odisha, is one of the largest subsidiaries of Coal India Limited and plays a significant role in the country’s coal production and supply chain.
