PESB picks Rajesh Rana for ITDC's Director (Commercial & Marketing) role

New Delhi: Rajesh Rana is set to be the next Director (Commercial & Marketing) of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Tourism. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager (Catering Services) Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC).

Rana has been recommended for the post of Director (Commercial & Marketing) of ITDC from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on September 6. Out of 11 candidates, three candidates were from Steel Authority of India (SAIL), two each from RINL & MMTC Limited and one each from IRCTC, NTPC Limited, PEC Limited and JKERA.

As Director (Commercial & Marketing) of ITDC, Rana will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman and Managing Director. He will have overall responsibility for developing and implementing marketing plans and strategy for all ITDC Hotels, Duty Free shops, Transport & Travel Agency etc. and achieving high degree of performance of these activities, developing plans for tie-ups with travel agents/ tour operators, advertising and sales promotion.
