PESB recommends Mahesh Kumar Sharma for NHPC's Director (Finance) post

Mahesh Kumar Sharma has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited on July 15

New Delhi: Mahesh Kumar Sharma is set to be next Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on July 15. Presently, he is serving as General Manager (Finance) in the same organisation.

Sharma has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited from a list of 13 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in its selection meeting held on July 15. Out of 13 candidates, five candidates were from NHPC Limited, and one each from Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), REC Limited, DFCCIL, Indian Railways, MSEDCL and PTC India Limited.

As Director (Finance) of NHPC, Sharma will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of the finance and accounts of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving and formulating policies related to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
