PK Chakraborty set to be next Director (Finance) of ECIL

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Proteek Kumar Chakraborty for the post of Director (Finance) of ECIL on Wednesday

New Delhi: Proteek Kumar Chakraborty is set to be next Director (Finance) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Additional General Manager Finance, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

Chakraborty has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of ECIL from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel in its selection meeting held on March 19. Out of 11 candidates, four candidates were from BHEL, and one each from Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), Hil (India) Limited, NTPC Limited, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), NMDC Limited and Dnh Power Distribution Corporation Limited.

As Director (Finance) of ECIL, Chakraborty will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in-charge of the finance and accounts functions of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving and formulating policies relating to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
