Power Grid CMD gets 3 months extension as Director (Projects)

Power Grid CMD Burra Vamsi Rama Mohan, who is also holding the additional charge as Director (Projects), has been given a tenure extension by three months

New Delhi: State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) on Thursday said the Ministry of Power has extended the additional charge of the post of Director (Projects) held by Chairman and Managing Director Burra Vamsi Rama Mohan for a further period of three months with effect from July 1. He has been holding the additional charge of the post since April 1.

According to a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, the extension will remain in force until September 30, or until a regular incumbent assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The extension has been approved through the Ministry of Power's order dated July 23, 2026.

Rama Mohan was initially entrusted with the additional charge of Director (Projects) for three months with effect from April 1, 2026, under a Ministry of Power order dated April 6, 2026. The latest order extends the arrangement for another three months beginning July 1, 2026.
