Powergrid CMD K Sreekant assumes additional charge as Director (Personnel)

Power Grid’s Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) K Sreekant has been assigned the additional charge of its Director (Personnel)

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Power Grid) on Thursday said its Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) K Sreekant has been assigned the additional charge of its Director (Personnel). He has taken over additional charge of the post with effect from June 1, 2023. This information has been shared by Power Grid in a regulatory filing on Thursday.

Vinod Kumar Singh completed the tenure of Director (Personnel) on May 31, 2023, on attaining the age of superannuation, it added.

In a separate statement, power trading solutions provider PTC India said, "Upon his superannuation from Power Grid, Vinod Kumar Singh, has ceased to be Director on the Board of PTC India Limited with effect from June 1, 2023."

Sreekant is CMA and PGDM (Finance) from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. He has over 34 years of experience in the power sector in the areas of long-term financial planning, investment appraisals, formulation of capital budgets, resource mobilization from domestic and international markets, corporate accounts, commercial, regulatory affairs and enterprise resource planning systems. He was appointed as CMD in August 2019.
