Railway Ministry assigns additional charge of IRCTC CMD to Rahul Himalian

Rahul Himalian has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC)

New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has entrusted the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to Rahul Himalian, Director (Tourism & Marketing), following the resignation of the incumbent CMD Sanjay Kumar Jain.

In a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges on Thursday, IRCTC said the Ministry of Railways has informed the company that the post of CMD will fall vacant from July 20, 2026, after Sanjay Kumar Jain is relieved from service consequent to the acceptance of his resignation by the competent authority.

According to the Ministry's order dated July 16, Rahul Himalian will hold the additional charge of CMD, alongside his existing responsibilities as Director (Tourism & Marketing), for a period of three months with effect from July 20, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
