New Delhi: Saleem Ahmad is set to be next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on October 4. Presently, he is serving as Director (Projects) at NBBC (India) Limited.
Ahmad has been recommended for the post of CMD of RVNL from a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel in its selection meeting held on October 4. Out of 10 candidates, five candidates were from RVNL itself and one each from CONCOR, NBCC (India) Limited, IRCON, RailTel and Indian Railways.
As CMD of RVNL, Ahmad will the Chief Executive of the company and accountable to its Board of Directors and Government. He will be responsible for enhancement of production and efficient functioning of the Company for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
