Sanjay Kumar Singh set to be next Director (Technical) of BCCL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name Sanjay Kumar Singh for the post of Director (Technical) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL)

New Delhi: Sanjay Kumar Singh is set to be next Director (Technical) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Senior Vice President (Coal Strategy) in JSW Steel Limited.

Singh has been selected for the post of Director (Technical) of BCCL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on April 24. Out of nine candidates, two candidates were from NTPC Limited, two from South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), two candidates from Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) and one each from JSW Steel Limited, Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) and GHCL Limited.

As Director (Technical) of BCCL, Singh will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for the operation of mines and also of field activities, technical functions and safety of mines.
