New Delhi:  The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday has approved the appointments of a number of officers for filling up of various Foreign and Captive posts of the Government of India at Deputy Secretary or Director or Joint Secretary level. Here is full list:

Dr Jujjavarapu Balaji (IAS) has been appointed to the post of Minister (Agriculture) in the Embassy of India, Rome, Italy (a Joint Secretary level Foreign Post) under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Balaji is a 2001-batch IAS officer of Assam cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of B Rajender (IAS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Angshumali Rastogi (IRSME) has been appointed to the post of Representative of India in the Council of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Montreal, Canada (a Joint Secretary level Captive Post), under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Rastogi is an Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME) officer of 1995-batch. He has been appointed to the post in place of Shefali Juneja (IRS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Nidhi Mani Tripathi (IAS) has been appointed to the post of Minister (Economic) at High Commission of India, London, UK (a Joint Secretary level Foreign Post) under the Department of Commerce. Tripathi is a 2001-batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of Manish Singh (IAS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Anand Singh (IAS) has been appointed to the post of Senior Adviser to the Executive Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington DC, USA (a Joint Secretary level Captive Post) under the Department of Economic Affairs. Singh is a 2000-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of T Natarajan (IAS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Hemang Jani has been appointed to the post of Senior Adviser to the Executive Director of World Bank, Washington DC, USA (a Joint Secretary level Captive Post) under the Department of Economic Affairs. Jani is an experienced professional in public policy, governance and innovation systems. Presently he is posted as Secretary of Capacity Building Commission. He has been appointed to the post in place of Ritesh Kumar Singh (IAS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ponnuraj V (IAS) has been appointed to the post of Senior Adviser to the Executive Director of Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila, Philippines (a Joint Secretary level Captive Post) under the Department of Economic Affairs. Ponnuraj is a 2000-batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of Prashant Goyal (IAS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Debjani Chakrabarti (IAS) has been appointed to the post of Minister (Economic & Commercial) at Embassy of India, Tokyo, Japan (a Joint Secretary level Foreign Post) under the Department of Economic Affairs. Chakrabarti is a 2002-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of Mona KC Khandhar (IAS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Dr Venkatesh Palani Samy has been appointed to the post of Adviser (Agriculture & Marine Products) at Embassy of India, Brussels (a DS/Director level Foreign Post) under the Department of Commerce. Samy is an Agricultural Research Service officer. Presently, he is posted as Senior Scientist at ICAR-IARI. He has been appointed to the post in place of Dr Smita Sirohi (Scientist ICAR) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Nidhi Srivastava has been appointed to the post of First Secretary (Legal) at Permanent Mission of India (PMI), World Trade Organization (WTO), Geneva (a DS/Director level Foreign post) under the Department of Commerce. Srivastava is a 2010-batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre. She has been appointed to the post in place of Rakesh Kumar (ITS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Sai Venkata Ramana Anil Das has been appointed to the post of Adviser to the Executive Director at World Bank, Washington DC, USA (a DS/Director level Captive post) under the Department of Economic Affairs. He has been appointed to the post in place of Suresh Yadav (IRS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Vivek Chaudhary (IES) has been appointed to the post of Counsellor (Economic) at Economic Wing of Embassy of India, Washington DC, USA (a DS/Director level Foreign Post) under the Department of Economic Affairs. Chaudhary is 2011-batch IES officer. He has been appointed to the post in place of Nilkanth S Avahad (IAS) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Bhavesh R Trivedi (ITS) has been appointed to the post of Director, SAARC Secretariat, Kathmandu, Nepal (a Director level Captive post) under the Ministry of External Affairs. Trivedi is a 2000-batch ITS officer. He has been appointed to the post in place of Chanchal Chand Sarkar (IES) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
