ACC approves tenure extensions of 2 IAS officers

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved an extension in the Central deputation tenure of K Sanjay Murthy (IAS) as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director (CEO&MD) of National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (NICDC). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the services of Murthy have been extended for a period of six months beyond September 16, ie up to March 16, 2022, by continuing the temporary up-gradation of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Murthy is a 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Himachal Pradesh (HP) cadre. 

Samir Kumar Biswas (IAS) gets tenure extension

Further, the ACC has also approved an extension in the Central deputation tenure of Samir Kumar Biswas (IAS) as Additional Secretary of the Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals for a period up to January 31, 2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Biswas is a 1990-batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He has been serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals since November 2020.
