ACC approves the appointments of these officers

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the Prime Minister has approved the appointments of these officers on a higher rank on Thursday. 

• Dr P Chandra Shekhara has been appointed as Director-General of the Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad. He is currently serving as Director (Agricultural Extension) in the same organisation. He has been appointed to the post on a deputation basis, with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for a period up to April 26, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
• Dr Ashis Kumar Mukherjee has been appointed to the post of Director in the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati. He is currently posted as Professor of Department of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology in Tezpur University. He has been appointed to the on deputation basis for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The ACC has also approved the proposal for the appointment Labh Singh to the posts of Judicial Member in the Railway Claims Tribunal. He has been appointed to the post for a period of four years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or till the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
