Bureaucratic reshuffle: ACC approves the appointment of 26 bureaucrats

New Delhi: (DoPT Order news) In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a number of appointments to higher posts in various Ministries and Department on Tuesday. Here is the full list:

Sanjay Malhotra (IAS), who has been appointed as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of REC Limited, is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power.

Vijoy Kumar Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles. Singh is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the same ministry.

Atul Kumar Tiwari (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship by temporarily upgrading a post of Joint Secretary in the ministry. Tiwari is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Kailash Chand Gupta (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. Gupta is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Chandra Sekhar Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Kumar is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Higher Education.

Vineet Joshi (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Higher Education by temporarily upgrading the post presently held by Chandra Sekhar Kumar (IAS). Joshi is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre. Currently, he is serving as Director-General in the National Testing Agency under the Ministry of Education. In addition to this, he will continue to hold the charge of Director General of National Testing Agency.

Hukum Singh Meena (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Land Resources. Meena is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

VL Kantha Rao (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition) in the Ministry of Defence. Rao is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Defence.

Sanjay Jaju (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence vice VL Kantha Rao (IAS) upon his appointment as Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence. Jaju is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Telangana cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Manohar Agnani (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Agnani is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Vivek Kumar Dewangan (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power, vice Sanjay Malhotra (IAS), upon his appointment as CMD of REC Limited. Dewangan is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same ministry.

Neerja Sekhar (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting vice Atul Kumar Tiwari (IAS) on his appointment as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Sekhar is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same ministry.

Vishvajit Sahay (IDAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Science & Technology. Sahay is a 1990-batch IDAS officer. He also holds the charge of Financial Advisor in the Department of Biotechnology and Ministry of Earth Sciences.

The ACC has also approved in-situ up-gradation of the following officers to the level of Additional Secretary, as a measure personal to them, by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:

Samir Kumar Biswas (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals. Biswas is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre. Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

TK Ramachandran (IAS) has been appointed as Chairman, VO Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin, under the Ministry of Shipping in the rank of Additional Secretary. Ramachandran is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. 

Sumita Dawra (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade. Dawra is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre. Presently, she is serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Pankaj Agrawal (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Agrawal is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. Currently, he is serving as Joint Secretary in the Secretariat.

Rajat Kumar Mishra (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs. Mishra is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre. Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Ashish Srivastava (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Srivastava is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same Ministry.

Ashish Kumar Bhutani (IAS) has been appointed as CEO of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and has been upgraded to the rank and pay of the Additional Secretary-level.

Punya Salila Srivastava (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Home under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Srivastava is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre. Presently, she is serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Amit Agrawal (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance. Agrawal is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Sandeep Pondrik, a 1993-batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, presently serving as Advisor in the National Disaster Management Authority, has been upgraded to the rank and pay of Additional Secretary on the same post.

Sukriti Likhi (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Heavy Industries under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Likhi is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre. She is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Alok (IAS), a 1993-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, presently serving as Member (Admn) in the National Highways Authority of India, has been upgraded to the rank and pay of Additional Secretary on the same post.

Nagaraju Maddirala (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Coal. Maddirala is 1993-batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre. Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary in the same ministry.
