The Central Government has approved the appointment of Eranki Venkata Bhaskar (IRS) as Private Secretary to the Union Minister G Kishan Reddy in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region

New Delhi: Eranki Venkata Bhaskar (IRS) has been appointment as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. The Central Government has approved the proposal for the appointment of Bhaskar on Friday. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earlier.

Bhaskar is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2009-batch. He is currently serving as Joint Director of Income Tax (Systems).

The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region is a government of India ministry, established in September 2001, which functions as the nodal Department of the central government to deal with matters related to the socio-economic development of the eight states of Northeast India: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
