Kumar Abhinav (IRS) appointed as Deputy Secretary in DoPT

New Delhi: Kumar Abhinav (IRS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) under the Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions.

According to an order issued from DoPT on July 11, Kumar has been selected for the appointment to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Abhinav is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2013-batch. He was recommended for the Central Deputation by the Department of Revenue. “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Personnel & Training, Delhi,” the order further read.

Abhinav is graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Applied Science in Data, Economics and Development Policy. He is a B. Tech in Industrial Engineering and M. Tech in Industrial Engineering & Management (Dual Degree) from IIT Kharagpur.
