Lalithambigai K (IAS) appointed as DS in Ministry of Tourism

New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Lalithambigai K (IAS) for the post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism on Friday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), she has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Lalithambigai is a 2015 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Manipur cadre. "She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Ministry of Tourism," the order further said.

"In view of declaration of election to the Lok Sabha, in case of the officer being on election related duty she may kindly be relieved after due clearance from the Election Commission of India to take up her new assignment in the Ministry of Tourism," the order further added.
