New Delhi: Mayank Mishra (IRS) has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Mishra has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
Mishra is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2009-batch. Presently, he is posted as Joint Director in National Academy of Direct Taxes. “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Home Affairs,” the order further read.
Mishra holds masters in taxation and business laws from NALSAR, Hyderbad. He has completed BA Honors in History from IGNOU and also holds Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, New Delhi. He has served the Department in various Capacities in the field of Assessment, Investigation, Administration and TDS at Jodhpur, Ranchi and Patna. He was working as DDIT (Investigation), Ranchi before Joining NADT.
