New Delhi: Rakesh Shrivastava (ITS) has been repatriated to his parent cadre on Friday. He is an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer of the 1997 batch and presently posted as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Mumbai Port Authority (MnPA).

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on June 13, the repatriation has been approved by the Competent Authority on personal grounds, and it comes with the stipulation of an extended cooling-off period, as per standard service norms.

This decision was made based on a proposal from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways dated June 10, 2025.

Shrivastava has been serving as CVO of Mumbai Port Trust since October 1, 2020. He has about 24 years of wide experience in handling administration, operational and vigilance issues in various organisations and in various cities.

He did Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication and MBA in HRM. He has served in various capacities at senior positions in the government. Prior to this, he was General Manager in RailTel Corporation of India Limited, under the Ministry of Railways.
