An Indian Revenue Service officer of the 2001 batch Meel is currently serving as Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (HQ)
New Delhi: Pradeep Kumar Meel (IRS) has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Power. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Meel has been selected for the appointment under the central staffing scheme (CSS) for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever takes place earlier. He was recommended for the central deputation by the Department of Revenue. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Power," the order further read.
Meel is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2001 batch. He is currently serving as Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (HQ). Earlier, he has held as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
