New Delhi: (Bureaucracy News) The ACC has approved the proposal of the additional charge of CBI director to be given to Praveen Sinha (IPS). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued a notification appointing Praveen Sinha, a 1988 batch Gujarat cadre IPS, to take over as the CBI's interim chief till the appointment of a regulator director. Meanwhile, sources have said that this additional responsibility given to Sinha may last for a few weeks as the Govt has already begun the process of appointment of the new Director. The names of probable names have been drawn from the list of officers belonging to 1984 to 1986 batches.
