
New Delhi: Sathiya S, an Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer of the 2011 batch, has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Cooperation. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Sathiya has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The officer was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue. Her tenure in the new role will be for a period of five years from the date she assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
She has been directed to be relieved of her current duties with immediate effect in order to take up the new assignment in Delhi.
The Ministry of Cooperation was formed in July 2021 to provide a separate administrative, legal, and policy framework for strengthening the cooperative movement in the country.
