Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS) gets additional charge as Petroleum Secretary

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of additional charge of Secretary of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS), who is currently serving as Secretary, Ministry of Coal.

Dutt is a 1993-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre.

According to an order issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Dutt will hold the additional charge from August 23 to August 29, 2026.

The additional responsibility has been assigned during the period of absence on leave of Neeraj Mittal, IAS (TN:1992), Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Dutt's additional charge will cover the specified seven-day period, following which the arrangement will cease unless further orders are issued.
