Bureaucratic Reshuffle: Here is the list of new Secretaries

New Delhi: In a major senior-level bureaucratic reshuffle the Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of a number of bureaucrats as secretaries in various ministries.

1. Braj Raj Sharma, IAS of Jammu and Kashmir cadre 1984, Secretary, Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs has been appointed as Chairman, Staff Selection Commission.
2. Sanjeev Gupta, Special Secretary, Inter-State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs has been shifted as Secretary, Inter-State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs.
3. Sailesh, IAS officer of 1985 cadre, Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs has been shifted as Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
4. Alok Tandon, IAS of Utter Pradesh 1986 cadre, presently in the Cadre, has been shifted as Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. The officer will hold the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare.'
5. Sanjeev Nandan Sahai, an IAS officer of 1986 cadre, Special Secretary, Ministry of Power has been shifted as Secretary, Ministry of Power.
6. Pramod Kumar Das, an IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh 1986 cadre, Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has been shifted as Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs.
7. Nagendra Nath Sinha, an IAS officer of Jharkhand of 1987 cadre, Chairman, National Highways Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has been shifted as Secretary, Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs.
8. Tuhin Kanta Pandey, an IAS officer of Odisha of 1987 cadre, working in home cadre has been shifted as Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance.
9. Pankaj Kumar, an IAS officer (Nagaland cadre, 1987-batch), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as CEO, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in the rank and pay of Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post.
10. Rajesh Bhushan an IAS officer (Bihar cadre 1987-batch), Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat has been shifted as Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat.

The ACC has also approved the promotion of the following officers of 1987 batch to the level of Special Secretary:

1. Arun Singhal, an IAS officer (Utter Pradesh cadre 1987-batch), Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare as Special Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
2. VP Joy, an IAS officer (Kerala cadre 1987-batch), Director General of Hydrocarbons, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas as Director General of Hydrocarbons, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
3. Sunil Kumar, an IAS officer (Utter Pradesh cadre 87-batch), Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry as Special Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
4. Talleen Kumar, an IAS officer (West Bengal cadre1987-batch), Chief Executive Officer, Government e-Marketplace Special Purpose Vehicle, Ministry of Commerce and Industry as Chief Executive Officer, Government e-Marketplace Special Purpose Vehicle, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
5. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, an IAS officer (Telangana cadre 1987-batch), Director General, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti as Director-General, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
6. Pradip Kumar Tripathi, an IAS officer (Jammu and Kashmir cadre 1987 batch), Additional Secretary & Establishment Officer, Department of Personnel and Training as Special Secretary & Establishment Officer, Department of Personnel and Training.
