BVFCL Recruitment 2021: Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) has posted a job vacancy through the PESB portal for the engagement of the Director (Production). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before January 27, 2022. The post will fall vacant on September 1, 2022. Currently, Digambar Sahai is serving as Director (Production) in BVFCL.

Director (Production) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She acts as the head of the production/operations division of the company. His/her principal responsibility is to exercise control for the efficient operations of the plants of the Company in a manner that would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He/she also acts as Principal Adviser of the company in all production and operational matters.

Pay scale: Rs 65,000 – Rs 75,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of the vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more;
(d) Private sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Education qualifications

The applicant should be an Engineering graduate with good academic record from a recognised university or institution.

Applicants holding MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in management will have an added advantage.

Experience

The applicant should possess adequate technical or operational experience at a senior level in a large organization of repute, out of which at least five years during the last ten years should have been in major production units in fertilizers or chemicals or petrochemicals sector.

(i) Applicants from Central Government / All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Director in Government of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Brigadier in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises or Private Sector should be working at Board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level on the date of application.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
