

New Delhi/Chhattisgarh: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust to establish a Healthcare Skill Development Centre at Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with a financial outlay of Rs 35.04 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The MoU has been signed in the presence of Biranchi Das, Director (HR), SECL, and was executed by C. M. Verma, General Manager (CSR), SECL, and Vivek Narayan Gour, Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust.
The proposed centre will function as a centre of excellence for healthcare skill development, offering free training to economically disadvantaged youth in nursing assistance, technical and allied healthcare roles. The institute aims to enhance employability while strengthening healthcare service delivery in the region.
The campus will include academic blocks, hostels, staff residences and allied infrastructure. Preference in admissions will be given to candidates from SECL’s operational districts, with at least 20 per cent of the annual intake reserved for these districts for a period of 25 years.
With this initiative, SECL continues to fulfill its commitment to skill development, youth empowerment and inclusive social development in Chhattisgarh.
