BEL secures orders worth Rs 551 crore for defence & communication systems

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has announced fresh orders worth Rs 551 crore since its last disclosure on July 25.

However, the defence PSU has not disclosed whether these order has been placed by the Govt or any private entity.

The new orders span across a range of high-technology products and systems, reflecting BEL's growing role in bolstering India’s defence and communication infrastructure. The major contracts include the supply of Optronic Systems for aircraft, Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) software, Automated Access Control Systems, Integrated Communication and Control Terminals, Low Band Receiver Units, communication equipment, as well as associated spares and services.

The order wins underscore BEL's continued leadership in defence electronics and its strong capabilities in delivering advanced, indigenously developed technologies for critical sectors. The company has been consistently expanding its product portfolio across both defence and non-defence segments, aligning with the Government of India's ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) initiative.

BEL, headquartered in Bengaluru, has been at the forefront of developing cutting-edge defence and aerospace systems for the Indian Armed Forces and allied sectors.
