New Delhi: BEML Limited, a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has secured a significant contract from Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). The contract involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of standard gauge metro cars, along with personnel training and comprehensive maintenance for up to 15 years.

This information has been shared by the Defence PSU in a regulotery filling to the stock exchanges on Thursday.

The contract is valued at approximately Rs 405 crore and falls within the company's normal course of business. The project is part of BMRCL’s ongoing efforts to enhance metro connectivity and improve urban transportation infrastructure in Bengaluru.
