Held on the theme, "India's Defence Sector: A New Era for MSMEs," the conclave brought together more than 120 MSMEs from across the region and provided a platform for industry, government and defence stakeholders to discuss emerging opportunities in the country's growing defence and maritime sectors.
Addressing the conclave, HSL Director (Finance & Commercial) E. Kiran said MSMEs are the backbone of India's defence manufacturing ecosystem and play a critical role in advancing the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He said deeper integration of MSMEs into defence supply chains would accelerate indigenisation, promote innovation and strengthen the country's strategic self-reliance.
The event featured expert sessions by K.K. Yadav, Deputy Director General (DIRW), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, along with senior representatives from the Indian Navy, the MSME Development and Facilitation Office, and the Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers).
