

New Delhi: Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) organised a Special Vendor Development Programme in association with the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH), Hyderabad, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, to promote vendor development and enhance participation of SC/ST entrepreneurs in the supply chain.
The programme aimed at strengthening collaboration with MSMEs and encouraging inclusive industrial growth. The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting and welcome of dignitaries by K. Mukesh.
In his welcome address, S. Suresh, NSSHO Head (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh), highlighted the role of the National SC-ST Hub in empowering SC/ST entrepreneurs and integrating them into the mainstream industrial ecosystem. Subhadip Ghosh, AGM (I/c, Purchase), MIDHANI, elaborated on procurement procedures, vendor registration processes, and business opportunities for prospective vendors.
Spurthi Reddy (IRS) Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), MIDHANI, addressed the gathering as Distinguished Guest, emphasising transparency, ethical procurement practices, and compliance in vendor management. P. Babu, Director (Production & Marketing) of MIDHANI, reiterated the company’s commitment to inclusive vendor development and deeper engagement with MSMEs.
The keynote address was delivered by V. Suresh Babu, Zonal General Manager (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh), who spoke on policy initiatives and institutional support available for SC/ST entrepreneurs. The programme also featured an NSIC video and technical presentation by S. Suresh, followed by a detailed presentation by S. Nitesh, Sr. Manager (Purchase) of MIDHANI, outlining technical requirements and quality standards.
Additionally, Nagendra Goud conducted a session on TReDS financial facilitation, highlighting solutions to improve liquidity and operational efficiency for MSMEs.
The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, enabling participants to engage with officials and seek clarifications. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Diptimoy Mohanty.
