New Delhi: Dr Shalia Shah (IFS) has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Dr Shah has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of three years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
Dr Shah is an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of 2012-batch. She was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of External Affairs. Presently, she is serving as Deputy Secretary (United Nations Political Division) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). “She may accordingly be relieved to enable her to join the new assignment in the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education," said an official order.
