The campaign, organised in alignment with the Government of India’s flagship Swachh Bharat Mission, featured a range of impactful activities designed to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability. GRSE employees, partners, and local communities actively participated in these initiatives, which included cleanliness drives across GRSE units, neighboring areas, and schools. To further support environmental conservation, the company undertook the distribution of saplings, collected e-waste, and planted over 50 fruit-bearing trees.

A key highlight of the campaign was the engagement of over 165 children in drawing competitions aimed at fostering awareness about cleanliness. Additionally, hygiene kits were distributed to sanitation workers as a gesture of appreciation and to promote their well-being. The campaign also featured educational initiatives such as essay competitions and seminars for Safai Mitras, emphasizing the importance of hygiene and collective responsibility. An awareness march at GRSE’s Main Unit served to reiterate the significance of cleanliness as a shared societal goal.

Speaking about the initiative, DIG Subrato Ghosh highlighted GRSE’s ongoing efforts to contribute to national priorities. “Through our ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ campaign, we aim to foster sustainable practices and reinforce the message of cleanliness as a cornerstone of a healthier India. Our efforts reflect our role as a responsible corporate citizen committed to the holistic development of communities,” he said.
