New Delhi: To mark the 10th International Yoga Day, Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a Ministry of Defence Undertaking, organised a Yoga Utsav themed "Yoga for Self and Society" from June 18 to 21, blending both online and offline formats.
MIDHANI's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Dr Sanjay Kumar Jha addressed employees via Webex on June 21, emphasizing that yoga not only enhances physical health but also promotes mental peace, providing sustained energy for daily tasks. He encouraged all employees to embrace yoga as a way of life, contributing positively to the company's progress.
MIDHANI's Director (Production and Marketing) Muttukumar expressed his wishes on the occasion, highlighting yoga as an effective tool for transforming a sedentary lifestyle into one of vigor, fostering both physical and spiritual growth. He emphasized that a healthy workforce correlates directly with increased productivity.
General Manager (Human Resources) A Ramakrishna Rao underscored the importance of health for individual, family, and organisational well-being. Stressing that every MIDHANI employee is integral to the company's family, he reiterated the company's commitment to organising health awareness programs like Yoga Day to support their holistic development.
Under the guidance of Anup Kumar Mandal, Additional General Manager (Downstream-Maintenance) of MIDHANI conducted extensive online and offline yoga sessions themed "Yoga – for Self and Society" over four days. Special sessions, including a lecture on "Yoga for Women Empowerment" delivered by NV Anupama, a renowned yoga therapist from Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, saw enthusiastic participation from women employees on June 20. Anupama inspired attendees to embrace a balanced lifestyle through yoga and nutrition.
The event's success was facilitated by the dedicated efforts of MP Ramesh, UP (Incharge-Security & COE), AR Rashmi (Manager HR), P Sunil (Deputy Manager HR), Pawan Kumar (Deputy Manager COE), and Raghavendra (Assistant Administration). The International Yoga Day concluded with a Shanti Paath and the National Anthem.
