GAIL recruitment 2020: GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has released a job notification for the engagement of Director (Business Development) for the organisation. Eligible candidates can apply for the job before May 27. The post is vacant since February 15.

Director (Business Development) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She is responsible for all strategic planning and business development activities of the company.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- 3,40,000 /- (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);

(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;

(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 10,000 crore or more;

(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 10,000 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications

The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate preferably in Mechanical or Chemical or Electrical Engineering with a good academic record from a recognised university or institution. Applicants holding an MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in management will have an added advantage.

Experience

The applicant should have technical/operational experience in a large organization of repute, out of which at least five years during the last ten years should have been in Hydrocarbon/Petroleum sector. Applicants with experience in Business Development would have added advantage.
