Govt transfers 4 IAS officers of AGMUT cadre

New Delhi: The Central Government has transferred four IAS officers of the AGMUT cadre with immediate effect on Tuesday. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the senior IAS officer Naresh Kumar has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Delhi. Naresh is a 1987-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. He serves as He was posted as Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh before the transfer.

Ashwani Kumar has also been transferred to Delhi. Kumar is a 1992-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. He was posted as Chief Secretary of Puducherry.

New Delhi Municipal Council's (NDMC) Chairman Dharmendra (IAS) has been transferred and appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh. Dharmendra is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. While Rajeev Verma (IAS) has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Puducherry. He is also an AGMUT cadre IAS officer and was posted in Arunachal Pradesh.

Further, consequent upon the voluntary retirement of Vijay Kumar Dev (IAS) with effect from April 20, 2022, Naresh Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Chief Secretary of GNCTD with effect from April 21, 2022, or with effect from the date of joining, whichever is later.
