New Delhi: Driven by increased production from private sector, India’s natural gas production during October was 3,016.81 MMSCM, which was 24.72 percent higher than the production of October 2020 but 9.37 percent lower than the monthly target. The cumulative natural gas production during April-October period was 19,907.74 MMSCM, which was 21.59 percent higher than the production recorded during the corresponding period of the last year but 7.15 percent lower when compared to the target for the period, official data released by the Petroleum Ministry showed.

ONGC’s natural gas production misses month’s target by 10%

Natural gas production by ONGC in the nomination blocks was 1,801.27 MMSCM during October, which was 10.09 percent lower than the target for the month and 4.38 percent lower than the production of October 2020. The cumulative natural gas production by ONGC during April-October period was 12,057.49 MMSCM, which was 10.9 percent lower than the target for the period and 6.26 percent lower when compared to the corresponding period of the last year.

OIL’s natural gas production 19.67% higher y-o-y

Natural gas production by OIL in the nomination block during October was 266.25 MMSCM, which is 6.05 percent higher than the target for the month and 19.67 percent higher than the production recorded in October 2020. The cumulative natural gas production by OIL during April-October period was 1,700.56 MMSCM, which was 19.67 percent higher than the production recorded during the corresponding period of the last year but 1.66 percent lower than the target for the period.

Natural gas production by private/JVs companies in the PSC/RSC/CBM regime during October was 949.29 MMSCM, which was 203.63 percent higher than the production of October 2020 but 11.63 percent lower than the target for the month. The cumulative natural gas production by private/JVs during April-October period was 6,149.69 MMSCM, which was 200.66 percent higher than production recorded in the corresponding period of the last year but 0.47 percent lower than the target for the period.
