New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Injeti Srinivas (IAS) as Chairman of International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on Monday. In an order issued on July 6, Srinivas has been appointed on the post for a period of three years, with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Injeti Srinivas (Retd) is a 1983-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from Odisha cadre. He is a senior bureaucrat and had served on various important positions in the state government as well as central government. Prior to his retirement, he was serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA)

The International Financial Services Centres Authority is a government body to regulate all financial services in International Financial Services Centres (IFSCs) with headquarters in Gandhinagar (Gujarat). The authority regulates financial products such as securities, deposits or contracts of insurance, financial services, and financial institutions which have been previously approved by any appropriate regulator such as Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) etc.
