IRCTC restores 6-days service of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express

New Delhi: Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) operated Tejas Corporate Train, Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express, will now be running five days in a week. According to an official press release, IRCTC has increased the frequency by day one. Presently, it has been running five days in a week since January 2022. This information has been shared by the IRCTC in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Saturday.

"With encouraging trends of travel on the sector and good patronage for the train, IRCTC has decided to restore full six days service (now Tuesday also) in a week with effect from April 4, 2022. Thursday shall be the default weekly maintenance off," it informed in a BSE filing.

"IRCTC is quite sensitive to the safety & health of its passengers and is closely monitoring the pandemic. The guideliness of the local states are being followed and preventive safe measures like sanitisation of passenger touch areas are being adhered," the national transporter further added.
