New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) and NHPC Limited in association with Apollo Hospital, Delhi commenced a two days free COVID-19 vaccination drive for 18-44 age group employees on Friday. 117 employees from IREDA, NHPC, Ministry of Power, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, PFC, NEEPCO, PTC, NSPCL and CEA took the first dose of the Covishield vaccine at IREDA's Corporate Office, New Delhi.
In order to encourage employees and to ensure maximum participation in the vaccination drive, IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das visited the vaccination camp and motivated the vaccination staff and employees. He emphasized that the well-being of our employees is a foremost priority for us, and this vaccination drive further reiterates our belief in 'Wellness and Welfare before Business.'
As a responsible PSU, IREDA has taken every possible initiative to contain the first and second waves of COVID-19 with the spirit of resilience. IREDA is the first PSU also probably the first Corporate who constituted the 'COVID Care Response Team'. The 'COVID Care Response Team' is continuously taking care of COVID-19 positive employees and their family members from June 2020. The IREDA 'COVID Care Response Team' has helped its 75 employees, 20 families of employees, and 15 other individuals by regularly counselling them and providing them all necessary support of delivering food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) to their doorstep, medicines, hospitalization, plasma donation, Oxygen Concentrator etc.
