BEL announces no of vacancies for Trainee Engineer & Project Engineer posts; click for details

BEL Recruitment 2021: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced a number of vacancies for the post of Trainee Engineers & Project Engineers for EVM production – Export Manufacturing, SC & US, Military Radars and Military Communication SBUs of Bengaluru Complex. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the jobs in the prescribed format on or before August 15.

Number of vacancies: 511 (308 vacancies are for Trainee Engineer and 203 vacancies are for Project Engineer)

Upper age limit

Trainee Engineers: 25 years
Project Engineer: 28 Years

Note: The upper age limit is for General & EWS candidates. The age limit will be relaxable for SC & ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years. Candidates belonging to PwD category, having a minimum 40 percent disability or more will get 10 years' relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories.

Terms of Engagement

Project Engineers will be engaged for an initial period of 2 years, which may be extended for another 2 years (up-to a maximum of 4 years) based on project requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs 35,000/- per month for the 1st year and Rs 40,000/- for the 2nd year. In the event of an extension of the contract, the remuneration shall be Rs 45,000/- for the 3rd year and Rs 50,000/- for the 4th year.

Trainee Engineers will be engaged for an initial period of 1 year, which is extendable for another 2 years (up-to a maximum of 3 years) based on project requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs 25,000/- per month for the 1st year and in the event of extension of contract, the remuneration shall be Rs 28,000/- for 2nd year and Rs 31,000/- for the 3rd year.

Required educational qualification

Candidates applying for BEL jobs should have BE or B Tech degree from a reputed institute or university in the Engineering disciplines of Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Telecommunication or Telecommunication or Communication or Mechanical or Electrical or Electrical & Electronics.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on merit. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interviews based on the BE or B Tech. Degree and experience. Out of which, 75 percent marks will be allotted for aggregate marks scored in BE or B. Tech; 10 percent marks will be allotted for relevant work experience.
