UCIL Recruitment 2023: Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) has released a job notification through the PESB panel for the engagement of Director (Technical). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before October 16.

Director (Technical) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to Chairman and Managing Director. He/She heads the Technical Division of the company and is responsible for operation of mines and plants and also execution of projects. He/She is also required to exercise statutory and corporate responsibilities for the efficient and profitable operation of the company and provides technical guidance.

Pay scale: Rs 1,60,000 – Rs 2,90,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 40 years and the age of superannuation is 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of vacancy.

Employment Status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional director in the board of a CPSE);

(b) Central Government Group 'A' officers including the armed forces of the union and all India services and officers from public sector banks/financial institutions/ autonomous bodies etc;

(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more;

(d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more.

Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits.)

Educational Qualifications

The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate with good academic record from a recognised university or institute. Applicants with degrees in mining or chemical or mechanical or nuclear science engineering would be preferred.

Applicants holding an MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management will have an added advantage.

Work Experience

The applicant should have adequate technical or operational experience or exposure at a senior level of management in a large organisation of repute, out of which at least five years during the last 10 years should have been in mining or nuclear fuel cycle/ rare earth industry or minerals & metals sector.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up-to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
