UCIL Recruitment 2023: Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) has released a job notification for the engagement of the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before February 15, 2023. The CMD post in UCIL will fall vacant on March 1, 2024. Currently, Dr CK Asnani is serving as CMD of UCIL.
The Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) is the Chief Executive of the corporation and is accountable to its Board of Directors and the Government of India. He/She is responsible for the efficient functioning of the corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000 – Rs 3,32,000 (IDA)
Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 45 years and the age of superannuation is 60 years
The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as of the date of the vacancy.
The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-
(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 1000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 1000 crore or more.
Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.
(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)
The applicant should be an engineering graduate or chartered accountant or cost accountant or post graduate or graduate with MBA or PGDIM from a leading institute.
Applicants should possess cumulative experience or exposure for at least five years during the last 10 years in the mining or mineral sector at a senior level of management in an organisation of repute.
Note: (i) Applicants from Central Government or All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary in the Government of India or carrying an equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.
(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force on the date of application.
(iii) Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises/ Private Sector should be working at Board level position on the date of application.
The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
